polonaese Asked: Do you know how much that last anon pissed me off? I think i'll go educate myself in Poland, ameryka dla byka.

They have been pissing me off, but i turned anonymous off because i don’t want to deal with that anymore, & i dont think this blog should be exposed to that kind of stuff. That doesn’t mean I won’t take criticism but im not gonna allow people to disrespect me like that & make me look like an idiot.

garrielynn Asked: Anon: I am so grateful someone is willing to take the time to run such a blog. I am very proud to be polish but most of my family are deceased and passed before much learning was passed on. Perhaps everything is not perfect here. But why would demand perfection from another? It is a cruel expectation. The wonderful thing about this space is that is you do like what you see you can unfollow or logout. Overall it is a sharing community with good intentions. One family~

Clearly this anon doesn’t understand that! Thank you for writing this though :)

Anonymous Asked: Educated poles don't buy into this "polish pride" shit. We're not in communist time any longer, we don't need excessive nationalism to prove to others that our country is beautiful. How the hell do you "act" polish? If you're raised in Canada, I'm sorry, you're polish Canadian. Don't try to act like you're better than everyone else or that you're a special snowflake because you know another language.a najtrudniejszy jezyk an swiecie? Napewno nie. Sprobuj nauczyc sie jezyka islandzkiego,

I’m sure you are the most educated person ever, am I right? I meant I “act” Polish by following traditions/customs. I’m not acting like a “special snowflake” wtf. Please stop writing in my ask box unless you’re gonna come off of anonymous because I don’t feel like this is something that should be publicized. Actually I think I’m just gonna turn off anonymous messages. Clearly you don’t wanna reveal your identity because a lot of people would disagree with what you have to say.

zmizet Asked: I was always nervous about my Polish, but I grew up in "Little Poland" in NYC. It doesn't matter where you come from, if you have Polish blood then you're Polish. And we shouldn't be giving each other shit for it. It's hard to grow up away from Poland, and learn one of the hardest languages in the world. But we make an effort because we have pride in our heritage. Keep doing what you're doing (:

i completely agree with you, thank you! :)

Anonymous Asked: it's called a typo. Odpierdol sie. Nie jestescie prawdziwymi Polakami. Polacy wstydza sie ze ludzie jak wy robia wioche z naszego kraju

first of all, just wanted to say that you are the rudest person i have ever came across. second, nie jestesmy prawdziwymi Polakami bo nie rozmawiamy/piszemy dobrze po Polsku??? ale czy ty wiesz jak my sie zachowujemy w domu? i’ve met a ton of polish people that live in Poland who think it’s great that the Polonia in Canada/America is so big and proud. just because i dont have perfect grammar, doesn’t mean i dont respect and follow the culture. at least i can actually speak Polish. there are a bunch of kids who’s parents didn’t even bother teaching them. i barely consider myself a Canadian because i was raised Polish. both of my parents immigrated here but made sure to teach me how to read, write, speak and act Polish. im sorry that i go to a school that teaches english 5 days a week, and only go to Polish school once a week for 3 hours. i dont even know what to say to you. im just so shocked at how incredibly rude you’re being. there is absolutely no difference between me and you other than you live in Poland, so maybe that’s why your Polish is so good. gonna end this off in a corny way, just because im not a bitch :) myslalam ze “wszyscy Polacy to jedna rodzina” :) what happened to that??

Anonymous Asked: The fuck is with these people and nitpicking on your language skills? Unless it's in a posted graphic that's gonna get reblogged, who gives a flying fuck. Oh, and previous anon. It's "dawno", with "temu", not "dawni". Much love, and keep on ;)

omg thank you so much! but i did see some mistakes in some of the ones to reblog :$ they were english mistakes though, and me being dumb and missing a letter. so sorry to anyone who has noticed! i should definitely double check before posting because i know i hate it when people spell stuff wrong in a posted graphic, & i dont wanna feel like a hypocrite. haha i noticed the dawni too but decided not to say anything! thanks again :)

Anonymous Asked: temu means "ago" as in long ago of dawni temu. Or temu can be used as in dalam temu panu.... In which temu is used as "that". You tried to use it in place of dlatego which doesn't make sense because dlatego means because

ok well i am very sorry for that tiny mistake that no one seemed to notice but you. most people just care that there’s someone who actually wants to run a blog like this.

Anonymous Asked: Your polish also has mistakes though, I've actually lived in Poland most of my life. it's obvious you were raised in Canada and that English is your stronger language.

okay, well i know my polish isn’t perfect, but it’s a lot better than other people that i know who were raised in canada. im proud of my self anyways :) oh, i’d love to know where my mistakes are. & i’d also love it if you weren’t anonymous so i wouldn’t have to be making this public.

Anonymous Asked: Are you proud to be Polish?

sososo proud! couldn’t be any happier, and wouldn’t wish to be any other nationality :)
